We've partnered up with National Geographic Slovenia

More than 8,000,000 tonnes of plastic enters the world's oceans each year, affecting the sea and the marine life inside. And if this continues, there will be more plastic than fish in the ocean by 2050. Not to mention, each time we'll sit down to eat a meal, more than 100 pieces of the same microplastic will fall onto our plates. So, it's only up to us to change that.

Earth is our best friend. A friend that provides us with all the resources to live here.

It gives us the air to breathe, water to drink, food to eat and land to stay.

All for our betterment.

Earth's environment has been glowing for more than 4,5 billion years, yet in the last 100 years, we affected our habitat, wildlife, and nature more than ever.

Birds, fish, and shellfish are keen to mistake plastic for food, especially when the single-use plastic breaks down into smaller pieces. And if this continues, there will be more plastic than fish in the ocean by 2050. Not to mention, each time we'll sit down to eat a meal, more than 100 pieces of the same microplastic will fall onto our plates. So it's only up to us to change that.

OUR IMPACT

In celebration of World Earth Day, EQUA partnered up with National Geographic Slovenia to raise awareness about the problem that is affecting us all and inspire you to commit and make a change, together with us. Together, we announced the video for their ''Planet or Plastic'' campaign, to shed a light on the global plastic pollution crisis and inspire you to care about your surroundings.

''Because only together, we can get closer to the change that matters and past the edge of what's possible.''

10 years ago, we at EQUA made a pledge. To fight against single-use plastic and encourage the use of tap water. And we're proud to see, what became a vision in 2009, is fighting its purpose up to 2019 and on.

Our dream is to live in an environment where reusables are seen as a resource and not waste. And if only one person switches to using a reusable water bottle, 217 disposable plastic bottles can be saved from going to a landfill that same year.

The final station of single-use plastic pollution is not the sea and animals, but humanity, so think before you drink!
